My Take on the Book
Heather Knowles and Annette Marnat have created a beautiful story together for a young child. The story is written as if the ocean is telling the reader about Moana. You see Moana as a child . The ocean tells the story of her growing up and the wonderful kind spirit Moana portrays. The ocean observes Moana as she interacts with her family, friends, and animals.
You and your child will love the gentle and beautiful illustrations that accompany the text so well. Such a wonderful example of text and art together.
