About the Book
"I got to open doors for people!"

These seven simple words, spoken by author Bill Treasurer s five-year-old son, cut straight to what matters most about leadership: True leaders open doors for people. This radically simple concept is the heart of Leaders Open Doors.

This book presents a fresh and unique take on leadership that will benefit experienced leaders and those just starting their leadership journeys. With a little courage, anyone at any level can be a leader.

Drawing on two decades of experience, Treasurer:
  • combines personal stories and anecdotes to illustrate how (and how not) to inspire the people you lead
  • reveals the four most important skills that any aspiring open-door leader must hone
  • introduces six unique opportunity doors each door offering a chance for leaders to shift the perspective of their followers

My Take on the Book
What was great about this book was the person experiences and stories that the author shares with his readers. The stories make what the author is sharing even more real. Also, the author has so much professional experience that is shared with the reader. You can tell that he is passionate about leadership and passionate about helping people achieve and become better leaders. I love the idea of shifting perspective to followers that was shared and the skills that he states all leaders need makes sense completely and the idea of opening doors made me think of many experiences where this happened to me too! This was a quick read and something that all leaders or people that want to be leaders must read!
