Book Review - The Boxcar Children: Return of the Graveyard Ghost
About the Book
One stormy afternoon, the Aldens take a shortcut through the Greenfield Cemetery and discover a strange local superstition! According to legend, it's good luck to leave presents in a certain spot in the cemetery--and bad luck to anyone who doesn't. But since there's no such thing as ghosts, there must be a reason for this weird tradition. The Boxcar Children are determined to find out what it is.
About the Author
Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by its success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden children.
My Take on the Book
This was another fun mystery with the boxcar children. I grew up with this series and have loved sharing it now with my own daughters! If you have never read these you should, they are great stories to read together as a family! What I loved about this book is that you get the mystery mixed in with a little spooky which makes for great fun and the plot keeps you guessing as well!
