Book Review - Bitty Baby and Me
About the Book
Discover the world of Bitty Baby - a special new friend to help girls ages 3 - 5 shine bright! In Bitty Baby and Me, a little girl introduces her new doll, Bitty Baby, to her family, including her prickly big sister. At nap time, the little girl tells Bitty Baby a story about a magical mermaid adventure - but the best magic of all is the creative way the girl makes her wish come true and gets her older sister to play with her. Includes a "For Parents" section that discusses child development information and tips on storytelling.
My Take on the Book
There have been so many American Girl books in the past so now make way for Bitty Babby books as well! This was a well written book with great illustrations and a fun story. My youngest daughter has a Bitty Baby and she loved the book. The story itself shows the special bond between the girl and her Bitty Baby and through all of the activities that the girl and her Bitty Baby have, they use their imagination and work on making their wishes come true, and for the most part they do in the end! The book also talks about the relationship between sisters and the book also talks about how the sisters are able to come closer through the Bitty Baby as well. It was a touching story and one that is definitely fun to read out loud to a young reader!
