Anaka Jones was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she lives with her parents, two older brothers, two dogs, a lizard and a frog.
My Take on the Book
I was amazed at the ability of this young author. I read this to my girls and they simply loved the story itself, not only because they love horses, but more because it provided a surprise to them, especially as the story went along and it became night. The book itself was well written because you get to know the horses as horses first and then you get to see them in a whole new way. The illustrations were great, and there is a hidden surprise on every page so make sure to look for it! This will be a book that your kids will ask you to read over and over again so be prepared. If this young woman continues, I see great things in her future!
