Book Review - Professor Tuesday's Awesome Adventures in History: Book One

About the Book
Miss Pepper’s class is going on a field trip to the local university. Once there, they meet the curious Professor Tuesday, the inventor of the Tuesday Teleporter and an expert on the famous Native American war chief Pontiac.

The oddball professor’s teleporter takes Miss Pepper’s class back in time to learn about Chief Pontiac and his rebellion of 1763. The students learn firsthand about the native people of the Woodland Tribes, the French, the British, and the events that led up to Pontiac’s War. The field trip turns upside down when the professor and one of Miss Pepper’s students are captured by Chief Pontiac’s warriors. The two are lost in time and their only hope rests in the hands of Miss Pepper and her students. The class has to follow the professor’s clues and research the past in order to bring their friends home.

Time is running out. Can they find the answers that will help them rescue their friends before one of the major battles of Pontiac’s War?

My Take on the Book
Being from Michigan I have always been interested in the history of our State. What was fun about this book was that you got to have a fun time learning about the history of our state bought the same time going on a crazy time traveling adventure with a nutty professor as the kids within Ms. Pepper's class examine the history of Chief Pontiac's war through experiencing it firsthand. I love how this author was able to bring forward history in a fun way for young readers. I read this book with my kids and I have to say that it was a very quick read because it was compelling and it drew my kids and I into the story itself. Once we were dumb reading the story my kids quickly were asking me to jump right into the next story within the series. As a parent this is exactly what I want out of the book that my kids read. All-in-All I was very impressed with the writing of this as well is the integration of Michigan history into the book itself, and if you are from Michigan also, you too will appreciate this story.
