Book Review - Love Waves
About the Book
How to comfort a young child who misses a special person when he or she is away? A treasured picturebook creator has the perfect solution.
Love Waves are what we send to our loved ones until we can be together again. Invisible and strong, they can fly across town or around the world, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that neither time nor space can keep love from ? nding its target. Combining a wonderfully concrete concept with her cozy pastel illustrations, Rosemary Wells offers an ingenious way to ease the separation anxiety many children feel when parents go to work, or live in separate homes; when close friends or relatives move, or live far away; or whenever a loved one's absence calls for an extra dose of reassurance.
My Take on the Book
If you are a parent who works outside of the home and you have young children, you will relate to the content of the latest book by popular author Rosemary Wells. The parents in this book, leave their child to go to work, but think about the child all day long and sending "love waves" as their day progresses without their child. It is a story about how a family can cope with the responsibilities of family life, child care, and jobs outside of the home. It clearly show show a child can feel secure, safe and loved even when a parent is absent due to work. It is through the loving thoughts or "love waves" they send to their child.
