Andrew Friedman is the author of Knives at Dawn: America’s Quest for Culinary Glory at the Bocuse d’Or, the World’s Most Prestigious Cooking Competition, and has collaborated on more than 20 books and cookbooks with many of the best chefs in America. As a sports writer, he is an editor at-large for Tennis magazine and coauthor of American tennis star James Blake’s New York Times bestselling memoir Breaking Back. He is also the founder and chief contributor to the website Toqueland.com.
My Take on the Book
This was a great book that provided me with an amazing array of ideas on how to better organize my home and my family. What I loved about the book was that it shared ideas that I use on a regular basis at my day job, but would have never thought about implementing them at home. The book is very down-to-earth and shares personal experiences and stories about their authors' own lives and makes these experiences tangible for everyone who is reading the book.
I also enjoyed how the book was laid out and all of the little subsections within the book where there were pull-outs/asides for the authors to speak about related issues within chapters. This, along with the overall flow of the book made the book very easy to read and I could tell from the very beginning that this would be a book that I would be coming back to many times in the future.
This was a great book that I encourage all parents to read!
