Shea Vaughn, mother of actor Vince Vaughn, is a 25-year veteran of the fitness industry. As a fitness expert, professional trainer and wellness coach, Vaughn has become a spokeswoman for creating well-being at any age with her recently released book, Breakthrough: The 5 Living Principles to Defeat Stress, Look Great, and Find Total Well-Being (HCI Books).

About the Author
SHEA VAUGHN (www.sheanetics.com) is a certified personal trainer whose clients include professional athletes and prominent executives. Trained in ballet, Tai-Chi, martial arts, ZUMBA, yoga, pilates and more, Vaughn is well-versed in Eastern practices, including meditation for growth and stress reduction. Her DVD workouts have been featured on QVC and she has appeared on national and local television, radio, and in print media. She is also a featured expert on “The Best Ever You Network", lives in Chicago, and lectures nationally.


My Take on the Book
This book and the author offers five main principles that may seem simply but are really quite profound and will truly change your life if you embrace them. Though I do say that it is something that will change your life it is not something that is easy to enact or to embrace in one's life. I know this from first hand experience. In reading through this book I worked on the principles and will tell you that they are not easy, but the effort is definitely worth the effort. The book is inspiring and will encourage you to make positive changes in your life that will only make you a stronger and better person in the long run!
