DVD Review - Donnie Darko

About the Movie
In the tradition of Urban Legends and Final Destination, Donnie Darko is an edgy, psychological thriller about a suburban teen coming face-to-face with his dark destiny. Jake Gyllenhaal leads a star-filled cast (including Drew Barrymore, Noah Wyle, Jena Malone, Patrick Swayze and Mary McDonnell) as a delusional high-school student visited by a demonic rabbit with eerie visions of the past - and deadly predictions for the future. This "excitingly original" nail-biter will keep you on the edge of your seat until the mind-bending climax.

Donnie Darko: 10th Anniversary Edition will be available in an all-new, collectable key art custom packaging that includes a four-disc set (2 DVDs and 2 BD) with Theatrical Cut and Extended Director’s Cut, as well as a Digital Copy for the very first time!

My Take on the MovieThis movie is one that I have loved for quite some time. I did not see it in the theatre, but have seen it on DVD and now Blu Ray. This version of the film was great and the imagery just explodes from the screen.

What I loved about the film was that the movie completely leaves you in the dark until the very end. The script was so original (as I do not think I have seen another movie that compares). All of the actors did an amazing job in the movie and it was just packed with stars (even though some were early in their acting career).  The characters were ones you can relate to and the dark humor within the film draws you in and prepares you for the spellbinding plot.

This is an amazing movie and if you have not seen it you definitely should!
