Life360 saw rapid growth in late 2010 after several updates to its mobile application. It became the first family safety company to offer check-in capabilities, which provide a non-intrusive way for maintaining communication between parents and kids. Life360 wanted kids to be comfortable with – and therefore more likely to use – a check-in function versus forcing the parents to track their whereabouts all the time.
In addition, Life360 expanded its family safety app to multiple platforms – with compatibility on the nation’s two largest mobile operating systems, iPhone and Android. In fact, Android downloads increased significantly after the launch of the Life360 iPhone app because more families can now use the app, regardless of the type of phone.
“The fact that increasing numbers of families continue to download our app is validation that Life360 fills an important need in an expanding market,” said Chris Hulls, co-founder and chief executive officer of Life360. “Life360 is excited to bring location based services to people who gain a real benefit from the technology. We thank our users for their trust and support, and will continue to innovate to better keep their families safe.”
The company offers free apps in the iTunes App Store and Android Marketplace, and expects to release several more upgrades on both platforms soon. Versions for other mobile platforms are in development. For more details on Life360, including additional family safety services, visit www.life360.com/mobile.

Dear all users,
ReplyDeletePlease be aware that the sex offender portion is not kept up-to-date. I have been trying to contact the company for weeks concerning this matter and have not been able to reach anyone. I personally know two people listed on the app who are no longer registered sex offenders. Sadly, as great of an idea as I think the app could be, the irresponsibility of life360 is coming to light. I would recommend using your states registry to find accurate information, rather than use this product.
There is lot of articles on the web about this. But I like yours more, although i found one that’s more descriptive.
