About the Book

Eager to share her summer adventure with her friends and vlog fans, Z keeps her phone and camera at the ready. But she finds that working on a real film set takes more focus than she expected. When her love of connecting online threatens to ruin her chances of connecting in real life with her idol and fans, Z faces the ultimate test: Can she survive off-line and learn to #liveinthemoment?

My Take on the Book
Z has a passion for vlogging. She follows and communicates with her fans and friends via vlogging. Z's mom is a film maker and in involved in making a documentary. Z is asked to become her assistant for the trip and here is where her learning and adventure begins.

As her mom's assistant, Z must not become distracted by her phone and messages from her friends and the vlogging. However the reader will see Z is distracted and this becomes a huge problem as her mom is trying to interview people. Her mom is disappointed in her daughter and there are consequences to Z's actions.

Z feels frustration as her mom asks Nora to help her and Z is jealous. As the story progresses though, you see Z finally understanding that she must be responsible , learn what she needs to do to help her mom, and follow through on various promises she has made.

The reader will see maturity in Z in this story.
