About the Book
Bee is an orphan, alone in a poor, crumbling kingdom. In desperation, she steals a bun from a bakery. To Bees surprise, the baker offers her a place at his shop. As she learns to bake, Bee discovers that she has a magical power. When a new friend desperately needs her help against an evil mage, Bee wonders what a small orphan girl with only a small bit of magic can do. Bees journey to help her friend becomes a journey to save the kingdom, and a discovery of the meaning of family.

My Take on the Book
This was a great book for the middle school aged reader. The book really was well laid out and had a great overall story. There was drama and great characters and overall you have the opportunity to really get to connect with the characters on a oretty deep level throughout the book. There were so many points throughout the book where my mouth was watering because there were so many baked items that looks delicious! In the end though it is the story and the characters that were so memorable!
