About the Book
Barron's Little People Shape Books feature simply told stories that are perfect for beginning readers, or for reading aloud to preschoolers. Cut into the shapes of their main characters, these rugged and appealing board books are sure to delight little readers. In Nutcracker, children discover the beloved holiday tale of a little girl named Marie who receives a wooden Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve. She soon discovers that an evil Mouse King has cast a spell on him! Can Marie save her beloved Nutcracker?

My Take on the Book
This was a great story with great images that re-envisions the story of the Nutcracker. You get to see the characters you have come to know and love in a fun way and this is a great way to introduce the Nutcracker to a much younger audience!
