About the Book
Fascinating scientific concepts are simplified and explored in ways that kids will enjoy in the Magic Science series. Each book presents 16 simple experiments that can be performed with common objects found around the house. Surprising Experiments with Sound uses rhythm, voice, water and more reveal what sound is and how it travels. Each experiment includes illustrated, step-by-step instructions and a simple scientific explanation of what is happening during the experiment. Full-color illustrations on each page.

My Take on the Book
This is a first book of four in a series of books written about science for children between the ages of 6 - 12. There are 16 experiments which children can do at home or at school.

One of the experiments was about sound and how it travels . I found this very interesting and written in a way that children would be able to understand and apply.

Another experiment used two cups and string. It is an old experiment showing how sound travels but one that is successful for children and fun for them too.

Most of the experiments use materials you could locate around your home. I felt the instructions were written well and children will enjoy not only performing the experiments buy learning the concepts too.
