About the Product
The estimated 125 million Americans who experience pain and discomfort on a regular basis no longer have to resort to potentially harmful, heavy-duty drugs to overcome their distress. The Aculief acupressure product (MSRP $29.99) affords them comparable, if not better, relief in a relatively short amount of time without the risky side effects experienced from drugs. It does so by targeting the LI 4 between the thumb and forefinger, which for thousands of years has been recognized as one of the most effective acupressure points for immediate tension relief and restoring the body’s natural flow of energy.

According to an ABC News poll conducted a few years back, “More than half of Americans live with chronic or recurrent pain, with broad numbers saying it interferes with their activities, mood and enjoyment of life.” To find relief from this discomfort, sufferers turn to everything from “medication to bed rest, yoga or the palliative power of prayer.” And while all these solutions may work, some are much safer and/or more effective than others.

Those individuals who are afflicted with discomfort, tension (in the form of headaches and other pain), and health imbalances yet don’t want to take calculated risks with their bodies or settle for incomplete resolution of their symptoms have a new means of relief. The Aculief acupressure product alleviates their problems more safely, completely and effectually than traditional treatments.

Worn between the thumb and forefinger at the LI4 acupressure point, Aculief’s aim is to naturally provide tension relief and restore the body’s natural flow of energy throughout the body. All the while, wearers can go about their everyday active lives as they normally would. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the LI-4 (Hegu) meridian spot has been known for centuries to provide tension relief and to restore well being, but western medical studies back up these claims. Indeed, over 500 clinical trials of acupuncture conducted by credible institutions like the Mayo Clinic have produced substantial evidence that acupuncture is very effective in treating not only chronic pain and tension headaches but also fatigue, anxiety, arthritis, chemotherapy sickness and infertility, among other ailments.

The Aculief’s universal design fits any hand size so that women, men and children alike can enjoy its discomfort- and tension-relieving benefits. Aculief is also a drug-free, pain-relief alternative to help users self-treat without medication. As a result of its all-natural relief, Aculief was recently awarded a Natural Products Expo West “Best of the West” award for 2013.

My Take on the Product
As I am not always looking to take away headaches and tension with medicine, this product seemed like a wonderful addition to our home. In trying this, I found the clip easy enough to place on. It takes a little to get used to the new pressure, but it did seem to help take the edge off of the headache that I had at the time. If you are looking for a way to holistically take care of your headaches this will definitely do it. The nice thing is that it is small, takes up no space and does not hinder the work that you want to accomplish while trying to take care of the headache that you may have!
