About the Book
When his son says "I’m hungry," Dad says, "Hello, Hungry. Pleased to meet you." Before slicing a cake for dessert, Dad announces, "There’s my piece. What’s everybody else having?" Tell Dad your foot hurts? "No problem. You’ve got another." How is he feeling? "With my hands." So when nothing’s up but the sky, or when jumping in the shower sounds dangerous, it may be a good time to share this book with someone who doesn’t need sugar because, well, they’re sweet enough already.

About the Author and Illustrator
Katrina Germein is an award-winning picture-book author from Australia. When she’s not writing, she loves swimming in the ocean with her three children.

Tom Jellett is an illustrator whose work has appeared in several books, as well as in The Australian and The Daily Telegraph (Australia). He lives in Australia.

My Take on the Book
A very touching book that was humorous and poignant. I loved the humor that the dad put into the daily life with his son, and even though corny at times, you can tangibly feel the love between the two. The book also gave me some funny retorts to use with my own kids! In reading this to my own daughters, they thought it was funny and my oldest even said "don't start doing that dad ok" - sounds like a challenge to me!
