Book Review - Mitt & Minn's Illinois Adventure

About the Book
After exploring their respective home states, Mitt and Minn meet in Book Three at the Wisconsin Cheese Jamboree. At the conclusion of the exciting cheese-eating contest, they discover that they are indeed brother and sister. A Jersey cow from Illinois shares the news with them and tells them that she can help them reunite with their parents. Mitt and Minn decide against returning to Minnesota with Minn’s beloved Gerdie and set off on a new adventure to the land of Lincoln. Will a happy reunion with their parents await the mice there?

My Take on the Book
This is another great book from this author which brings together two wonderful characters, Mitt & Minn, which in the past were able to explore their own states as well as get together on another adventure in Wisconsin. In this book though it was fun to find that the author made these two even closer, and allowed them to go on another adventure together searching out their family history. The story is a lot of fun to read, and my kids had a blast getting to know these characters is they got to know each other. Also within all of these books there are beautiful illustrations throughout that lend much to the overall book itself. The other has truly been able to bring out the best in the characters that she places in her book and you easily become entranced by the adventure and the experiences that they have together. On top of this though you also learned quite a bit about not only the state but about so much more which is a ton of fun for me as a parent and also for my kids (even though they don't know that they're learning while they're reading).
