Product Review - Simple Squares

About the Product
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the average American consumes 156 pounds of sugar every year. A good portion of that sugar is consumed during the holiday season, when we are surrounded by sugary- sweet holiday treats. Of all the foods we eat, refined sugar is considered to be one of the most harmful, causing series health risks such as inflammation and infection, compromising the immune system and raising insulin levels.

Thankfully, there is a simple way to monitor refined sugar intake during the most tempting time of the year. Snack-enthusiast and Simple Squares’ founder, Kimberly Crupi Dobbins, offers a delicious and healthy alternative to holiday sweets. Simple Squares are whole food snack bars made from just five ingredients: nuts, honey, vanilla, and hints of sea salt and herbs - that's it. Always free of wheat, gluten, dairy, soy and refined sugars. They are also organic, kosher and raw.

Simple Squares are the perfect snack to have handy during any holiday festivities to control hunger and ward off over- indulging on sweet treats. Each Simple Square is packed high in protein and other nutrients to keep one full and satisfied-so pumpkin pies and frosted gingerbread bread men won’t be a temptation. In fact, a study published last year in the New England Journal of Medicine, which followed more than 120,000 health professionals, found that daily servings of yogurt, nuts and fruit have the greatest capacity to help people lose weight, making Simple Squares an ideal snack.

Simple Squares are available in a variety of flavors such as coconut, cinnamon-clove, rosemary, and sage. People can purchase them at simplesquares.com, Amazon or hundreds of retail outlets throughout the U.S.

My Take on the Product
As a parent I am always looking for ways to give my kids snacks that are healthy and filling. On top of this as any parent knows your kids will demand variety (or at least my kids do). You can probably guess that I and my kids have tried our fill of granola bars over the years and some have been good, while others are sub-par. More and more I have been finding granola bars that are more dessert bar than granola with a large amount of the nutrients depleted because of processing.

This is where Simple Squares are different. Think bold new flavors that are subtle yet tasty along with a moist overall texture and high nutrient value and you get an amazing snack that any parent would be happy to share with their kids. Unlike many of the other natural food granola bars I have tried these are truly moist and the flavors are so unique. I loved the Rosemary Nut and Honey, but really all are very good! I highly encourage you all to try these today, you will not be disappointed!
