DVD Review - Real Monsters Season 3

About the DVD
Your three favorite monsters—Ickis, Oblina and Krumm—are back! On September 11, 2012, Shout! Factory, in conjunction with Nickelodeon, will release Aaahh!!! Real Monsters Season 3 on DVD for the first time. The third season promises to thrill, chill and tickle your spine—not to mention your funny bone—with 13 more adventures! A must-have for Nickelodeon fans, cartoon fanatics and DVD collectors alike, this 2 DVD set will be available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $19.93.

Watch as the monsters avoid capture by the monster hunter Simon and take on the world with everything they’ve learned about scaring from their headmaster, The Gromble! Season 3 stars the voice talents of Charlie Adler (The Super Hero Squad Show), Christine Cavanaugh (Rugrats), Gregg Berger (Transformers), Tim Curry (Clue) and James Belushi (Hoodwinked!). Aaahh!!! Real Monsters aired on Nickelodeon from 1994-2000 and returned in 2002 on the Nicktoons Network. In 2006, the show began airing on Nick Rewind. The show was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in Outstanding Achievement in Animation.

My Take on the DVD
This is a great DVD with 13 episodes crammed together into one season. If you are a fan of these great cartoon characters or of the overall writing of the show itself, you will love this season and you will love the big name actors that they had on the show this season. For me, one of my favorite episodes was when Tim Curry was featured. He does an amazing job in anything he does (in my opinion) and he continued to show his versatility here as well. This was a great season and a great DVD, and if you have always been a fan or if you are just getting into the series, pick up this set on September 11, as it is a keeper!
