Book Review - Santa (Little People Shape Books)

About the Book
Titles in the charming Little People Shape Books portray kids dressed up to fit many different grown-up roles. Some books in the series stimulate toddlers' imaginations with stories about magical places, while others give safety instructions in simple terms that very young boys and girls can understand. Heavy board covers and pages are die-cut so that when the books are closed they take the shapes of boy or girl shown on the cover. The bright, illustrated stories inside are easy for beginning readers, or perfect for reading aloud to pre-schoolers. When the covers are closed, the books present an appealing, layered, three-dimensional effect.

My Take on the Book
Giovanni Caviezel has written a sturdy board book about two children , Matthew and Jessica, who write letters to Santa. Santa after receiving the letters makes the two toys the children ask for and delivers them. The story progresses to Christmas morning and the children opening their gifts. This is a short story that a young child will enjoy. The illustrations are colorful and detailed.
