Book Review - Stay With SIster

About the Book
Big Brother finds out that not all babies are the same. Big Brother learns that not all little siblings are the same when his parents bring home a baby girl. He thinks he learned all about babies when Little Brother was small. However, Sister is very different. Other things are different too. Big Brother is old enough now to help keep an eye on the baby when Mommy and Daddy are busy and watching after Sister is not as easy as it sounds. But despite all the trouble she causes, Sister finds her way into Brother's heart, and that is where she will stay.

My Take on the Book
The new baby sister is curious, precocious and creates many challenges for her older brother. The story progresses through everyday activities in which the older brother must "babysit " the younger sister. He resents this of course and often does not perform his job as his parents think he should. In the end of the book big brother learns that he can enjoy playing with his younger sister.

If your family has 2 or more children , I believe you will enjoy this family story. It is fun to read and listen to and addresses the issue of the youngest sibling as one maybe your oldest child "stays with" at various times in a day or a given week of activities. I see the book as a facilitator in discussing challenges of older and younger children in a family situation too.
