Book Review - To Find the Way of Love

About the Book
To Find the Way of Love discusses the evolution of human relationships, which are influenced by and dependent on some fundamental forces that appeared at the moment the universe was created. It asserts that our relationships are the most important elements in our lives; they define our lives more than our achievements, and the choices we make to shape them involve the greatest exercise of our free will. We are constantly faced with choosing between self-interest and altruism, and all too often, except for essential needs of family, we choose self-interest. But our choices don't seem to bring happiness or satisfaction to our lives. We need to achieve a better balance.

About the Author
The author states about himself:

I was a Navy fighter pilot, a sailor, a skier, and an executive who built and administrated hospitals. For the past 20 years, my concerns have been about human relationships and their importance, and the problem of self-love often trumping our love of others. This resulted in many years of thought and a decade of researching and writing this book. To find the way of love is to re-explore and re-examine the purpose of our existence. Additional background that informed my thinking and writing includes marriage, divorce, and widowing; fatherhood and grand-fatherhood; being part of another culture and learning another language; and a long-term passion for the arts.

My Take on the Book
This book looks at our own existence and makes the reader truly ponder what that existence means. The book is a deep read connects these deep thoughts into the way that we think about our own relationships. The book does a great job at intertwining history, and events from history, into a web that connects with the way that we deal with others and the way that we maintain relationships between others. The book was a great read and one that I would have to recommend to any that are looking for a book that will challenge them and make them think about their own relationships.
