Book Review - Fury: True Tales of a Good Girl Gone Ballistic

About the Book
In this frank, deeply personal book, Zailckas turns an exacting eye on an often ignored, important issue, exploring the denial, discovery, and embrace of anger in her life.

Now a mother of two young chidren, Zailckas believes that mothers really need to be girls' first anger-management teachers. Moms need to communicate their own anger directly and honestly without blaming or using relational agression (like the silent treatment) and encourage daughters to be honest and open with their own rage. Girls that don't know how to express anger are significantly more likely to be binge drinkers, using alcohol to escape anger and other emotions they don't know how to manage.

In honor of tomorrow's release of the paperback of "Fury," Koren is inviting readers to write into her website http://korenzailckas.tumblr.com/ and discuss the most creative ways they have unleashed their fury.

My Take on the Book
Talk about an amazingly honest tale about the strained relationship between the author and her mother, I showed this book to my wife and she loved reading it and said that it was "so insightful and passionate." Never before have I seen such anger and truth shared in such an open and honest way. Be ready to be amazed as well as to have your mouth drop a few times when you read this story!
