The Emmy Award-winning WordGirl airs Mon.-Fri. on PBS KIDS GO! (Check local listings).Whenever there is trouble in The City, fifth-grader Becky Botsford transforms into WordGirl and uses super strength and amazing vocabulary to stop quirky villains in their tracks. Designed to enrich children’s vocabulary, instill a love of language, and foster better reading comprehension, WordGirl is in its third season on PBS KIDS GO!

“SONNY DAYS WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS” (plus one other WordGirl adventure)
The Today Show’s Al Roker guest stars in this all-new episode of WordGirl as “Sonny Days.” Just when meteorologist Sonny Days is about to deliver an eagerly-awaited forecast, The Birthday Girl kidnaps him and demands he announce her birthday on TV.  Will WordGirl be able to free Sonny?

This award-winning animated science adventure series starring Lily Tomlin as Ms. Frizzle is one of television’s longest-running children’s science series.  In it, Ms. Frizzle and her class take cliff-hanging science adventures straight into the human body, to the center of the earth, even to outer space. When you're on the Bus, you never know what will happen!

“THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS THE BUSASAURUS”
Ms. Frizzle (Lily Tomlin) takes the class on a dinosaur dig, courtesy of her old school chum, paleontologist Dr. Carmina Skeledon, and travels 67 million years back in time!  Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award-winner Rita Moreno guest stars as Dr. Carmina Skeledon.

“CLIFFORD AND THE BEANSTALK”
Emily works hard to prepare for her audition for the lead in the school play, but loses the role to Jetta.  However, Jetta worries more about what she’ll wear than about learning her lines. Emily is able to step in and play the lead role at the last minute – and Jetta learns the hard way that hard work and preparation are the things that make you successful.

“ITCHY PATCH”
Clifford is itching like crazy but tries his best to stop when he hears Emily say that she’ll have to take him to the vet if he keeps it up.  With the help of Cleo and T-bone, Clifford tries every trick to stop itching and hide his discomfort to avoid a trip to the doctor!  Clifford learns the importance of trust when going into an unknown situation.

·         Winners of the third annual national “Clifford BE BIG In Your Community Contest,” which encourages people of all ages to bring Clifford’s BIG Ideas to life to help their hometowns, will be announced in October. The contest is part of Scholastic Media’s national BE BIG! Campaign.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
ON PBS KIDS

** Choice for Hispanic Heritage Month ** -- “THE AUTOGRAPH”
When Paco unwittingly destroys Miguel’s favorite Orlando Cruz baseball card, Maya decides to fix the situation by getting an autograph from Orlando himself, who is coming to town that weekend with his team.  The kids embark on a series of escapades as they try to get ever closer to the star by impersonating a boy-band, hot dog vendors, and a big furry mascot.

Maya & Miguel presents culture and language learning as fun, relevant and rewarding for allchildren. The program places a special emphasis on the Latino population and is a great choice to honor Hispanic Heritage Month. Sprinkled through the series are values of friendship, family and a positive, culturally rich portrayal of Latino family, language and cultures.
