Book Review - The Story of Your Life

About the Book

How the journey of 10,000 stories began...

West challeneged his fans to submit their stories for his newest album, The Story of Your Life. The album released in the fall of 2010, and gave West his biggest street week ever while garnering coverage from CNN, Fox and more... but more importantly, it changed West forever.

West, joined by Thomas, wrote this book as an opportunity to give light to even more of the stories that he received.

A SAMPLING of what topics are addressed in this book...
  • ADDICTION (“Our Secret Chapter” from Steve, “What A Thank You Can Do” from Candy, “A Mother’s Love” from Debbie)
  • BULLYING (“The Pursuit of So Called Perfection” from Esther, “A Story Judged By Its Cover” from Michelle,)
  • AUTISM (“Tested Faith” from Kimberly)
  • DRUNK DRIVING (“The Power of Forgiveness” from Renee)
  • ABORTION (“Forgiven” from Sarah)
  • ADOPTION (“One Less” from Greg, “Faith in the Mystery” from Nancy and “Chosen” from Linda)

My Take on the Book
This book was an amazing collection of stories from people from so many walks of life. The book was both inspiring and motivational and you will be encouraged to continue reading this from the beginning to end and see what stories come next. I have to say that I love what Matthew West has done here and with the CD that he wrote and shared with fans based on the stories that were shared with him too. The stories ground you and many lift your spirit. I highly encourage all to read this book!
