Book Review - Travel to Tomorrow

About the Book
Set in 1955, the story of "Travel to Tomorrow" chronicles the adventures of five high school girls who wake up one morning to find themselves 55 years into the future and the girls must work together to get back to 1955. YA readers will easily identify with the characters as they all have very different personalities. The book is the first of five titles from Larsen's family-friendly "Fifties Chix" series, with the others rolling out every three months or so.

"Travel to Tomorrow" is now available for pre-order in print for $9.95 and digital for $7.95 in FastPencil's Marketplace at http://bit.ly/iWvCAx.

About the Author
Angela Sage Larsen also created and maintains www.fiftieschix.com, which allows fans of the series to log on and explore the latest happenings with the “Fifties Chix” characters through interactive posts, blogs, contests, reviews and never-ending activities.

Prior to the "Fifties Chix" series, Larsen created, authored and illustrated “Petalwink,” a seven-book series directed at girls ages 3 to 8. The books, while using creativity and imagination, provide readers with exciting adventures, character education and encouragement to girls to believe in themselves. Many schools, libraries and homes throughout the country have books from the “Petalwink” series.

My Take on the Book
A Fun and engaging story that while geared toward young girls, is still fun for all to read. I loved how the author took the past and merged it into the future and allowed her characters to struggle in a world so different than their own. What I also liked was that the story tied in important concepts such as friendship and trust and built a strong bond between the characters for the readers to enjoy.

A good book and I can tell that young girls will definitely enjoy this book and the rest of the series!
