Book Review - Dare to Live Greatly: Real Christian Living Requires the Grit, Courage & Confidence of a Navy SEAL in Training

Dare to Live Greatly: Real Christian Living Requires the Grit, Courage & Confidence of a Navy SEAL in Training

About the Book

Are you thriving with strong faith no matter how dire the circumstances? Do you run away from your fears - or to them? Better yet, what gives your life thriving purpose?

In today's world, it's becoming tougher to live an unswerving Christian life. In fact, in Dare to Live Greatly, L.C. (Larry) Fowler, a graduate of Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL (BUD/S) Class 89, argues that to follow Christ today requires Navy SEAL-like toughness.

This I promise: No matter how dire the circumstances, a SEAL will never give up-nor should any Christian. Obviously, this is not just another SEAL book. No other book juxtaposes Christian living to something as demanding as Hell Week, Tijuana mudflats, and Navy SEAL training in Coronado, California.

Dare To Live Greatly demands every man and woman must have the grit, courage, and tough-as-nails perseverance as a Navy SEAL in training to live the Christian life today. As you can imagine, having the guts to live as a Christian is not for the faint at heart.

To survive this unnerving training you have to be physically tenacious, mentally robust, and prepared to die, if necessary. Dare to Live Greatly is a powerful uncensored Christian living book about inspirational faith that proves everyone is called to be a victorious warrior in life.

When Larry Fowler became a Navy SEAL BUD/S trainee, he could barely swim. Nevertheless, he somehow survived "Hell Week" and graduated Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL training Class 89.

If this man can survive BUD/S, you can boldly thrive where you're at right now. In his inspirational book, Dare to Live Greatly, he reveals how faith is continuous, action-packed, and an adventure.

These chapters will demonstrate:

- Actionable Christian leadership steps toward living a stronger Christian life

- Importance of knowing and living your God-given purpose every day

- Find more courage to be a brave Christian during tough times could be no better nonfiction Christian book for confidence

- Avoid being a faith coward with too much worry

- Discover how SEAL training will energize your Christian living faith And much more...

My Take on the Book
This was an inspirational read that really shows the strength of one man that allows him to live an exceptional life. The book also shows how you too can succeed in life. You will learn so much from the fortitude that you will see from Larry as he overcomes so much in his own life. Larry is an amazing example of how you should never give up. This is an amazing book you will not want to miss!

Book Review - Shinji Takahashi and the Mark of the Coatl (The Society of Explorers and Adventurers)

Shinji Takahashi and the Mark of the Coatl (The Society of Explorers and Adventurers)

About the Book

The first book in a globe-trotting middle-grade adventure, Shinji Takahashi and the Mark of the Coatl combines high-tech wizardry, old-world legends and a little bit of magic from the internationally renowned best-selling author, Julie Kagawa.

Shinji Takahashi is just an ordinary kid. An ordinary homeschooled smart-alecky orphan kid being raised by his globe-trotting aunt Yui. But when a magical guardian decides to use him as a conduit to awaken its power, Shinji’s life takes a turn for the anything-but-ordinary. Captured by the menacing Hightower Corporation, which is bent on using the guardian’s magic for its own nefarious purposes, Shinji must team up with a brilliant young tech whiz named Lucy and her robot mouse, Tinker, in order to escape.

Together the two turn to the venerable Society of Explorers and Adventurers and its ragtag cast of spelunkers, hackers, mapmakers, pilots, and mythology experts (among other things) to return the guardian to its rightful home and release Shinji from its magic―which seems to be draining his life force. Time is ticking, the Hightower Corporation is hot on their tail, and success or failure might depend on one small thing―Shinji finally coming around to the belief that he is anything but ordinary.

Based on the Society of Explorers and Adventurers lore that exist across the Walt Disney Parks, Shinji Takahashi and the Mark of the Coatl is the first book in an all-new action-adventure series that brings S.E.A. into the twenty-first century through a blend of science and magic, and a focus on two young characters on an epic journey through time and place.

My Take on the Book
This was a fast-moving book that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I loved to learn more about Shinji and follow along with this character's journey. The book is an amazing adventure as you follow along with Shinji as he works to solve the riddle of a curse. As he goes on his adventure you will keep asking, "What's next?" I know I did! This is a great book that you will not want to miss!
