Book Review - Christmas Delicious by Lyn Loates

I have many cherished Christmas stories that I love to read and share.

This Christmas story of sharing and love for one's friends is so precious that I know it will become a favorite of yours too.

First Mark Jones, the illustrator, makes the story come alive with the beautiful detail of the mice, Raisin and Rice, and their environment.

The text has rhyming on each written page which adds to the voice of the page as the story is told.

Lyn Loates shows the ambitions of our two mice as they proceed to prepare their Christmas feast. We see them making their list, stirring, breaking eggs, decorating and dressing for the special feast. They work so hard to make this a memorable occasion. However they forgot one thing to invite their friends.

You see them rush out in the wintry day and find their friends to bring them to the feast they have prepared and what a celebration it becomes.

So how do you celebrate your special holidays? What preparations do you make? Who do you invite?

Use this book to discuss your personal holiday activities . Enjoy!
